Lives of the Eminent Philosophers: Socrates
...
[Previously: Thales; Solon; Chilon+; Anaxagaga.]
Socrates: What is it, Socrates, that makes you leave your usual haunts in the Lyceum and venture down here to Piraeus?
Socrates: I have come to take in the sea air, and to see the newly-built triremes.
Socrates: I am surprised, as those interests do not sound like the Socrates I know.
Socrates: In saying that, Socrates, you put yourself forward as knowing who Socrates is.
Socrates: I should be of no use, Socrates, if I did not have accurate knowledge of that matter.
Socrates: Well then, my dear friend, I am eager to become your pupil, as accurate knowledge about who Socrates is, is something I very much desire. Tell me then, who is Socrates?
